DENSO Manufacturing Polska was established in April 1999. The company is located at Sosnowiec, one of the major centres of industry, services, science and culture in both Silesia and Poland.

During the 1990s in Poland strong local authorities were developed, the economy was restructured, companies were privatised and trade and services were developed. As a re-sult in 1996 the Special Economic Zone was established for Sosnowiec. This helped to create favourable conditions for business development.

Until 1999 Magneti Marelli manufactured components and small motors in Poland for major European car manufacturers. When DENSO purchased this production centre in Poland the name was changed to DENSO Manufacturing Polska. Under this name they are still producing the same products as before.
