DENSO Manufacturing Hungary was founded in 1997 and is located in Székesfehérvár, which is one of the most ancient cities in Hungary and about 65Km from the capital city Budapest.

Products
At their production facility in Hungary, DENSO produces diesel common rail components, including 1800 bar supply pumps, rails and injectors; system control components such as variable cam shaft timing, electronic throttle control units and various valves control fuel vapour, exhaust gas recirculation and oil flow; spark plugs; and fuel injectors for gasoline engines.

Quality
In addition to continuous training of all staff, various technologies are in place to ensure consistent and high quality that is not at risk from human error. To quote a few examples calibration of machinery is computer controlled to ensure absolute accuracy and assembly robots are fitted with DENSO’s visual recognition systems to detect any flaws.

Growth
In 2006 DENSO Manufacturing Hungary had a sales turnover of around Euro 430 million, a growth of around Euro 370 million over the previous 5 years. The company employs 4962 associates.

Environment
In 1999 the company attained ISO 14001 certification. Their efforts have taken this one step further with the introduction of a strict EcoVision programe launch in 2001.  This has paid off. In 2003 the company became the first European subsidiary to achieve Zero Landfill Emissions. This was followed in 2004 by the prestigious ‘European Union Environment Award’. These efforts will continue.

Social Responsibility
DENSO Manufacturing Hungary takes its position as one of the largest employers in the region seriously and takes a hands on approach to supporting the local community. The company runs an educational programme for local schools and recently held a educational fun day for local orphanages in the region.
